Mosaic: Photo Collage & Layout · Effective July 27, 2026

The short version: Mosaic collects nothing. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no ads, and no servers of our own — the app never sends your photos or any information about you anywhere. Everything Mosaic does with your photos happens entirely on your iPhone.

What Mosaic does

Mosaic lets you pick 2 to 4 photos from your photo library, arrange them in a draggable split layout, adjust the canvas ratio and borders, and save a full-resolution collage back to your photo library. That's the entire app.

What we access

Mosaic asks for photo library access for two reasons, and only two:

When you tap Save, Mosaic writes the finished collage back to your photo library. It does not read, scan, index, or upload the rest of your library — only the photos you explicitly pick, and only the collage you explicitly save.

What we collect

Nothing. Mosaic has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no advertising SDKs, and makes no network requests of any kind. There is no server behind this app. We have no way to see your photos, your usage, or anything else about you, because nothing is ever transmitted.

On-device processing

Mosaic uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to automatically frame photos — centering faces and subjects within each layout cell. This analysis runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple's built-in machine learning models. No image data, face data, or analysis result is ever sent anywhere. Your photos never leave your device.

What's stored locally

Mosaic keeps a small amount of state on your device: the collage you currently have in progress and your app preferences (like your last-used layout or border settings). This data lives only on your iPhone, is never transmitted anywhere, and is deleted automatically if you delete the app.

In-app purchase

Mosaic offers one optional, one-time purchase: Remove Watermark, a non-consumable unlock. This purchase is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Mosaic never sees or handles your payment details — no card numbers, billing address, or Apple ID credentials pass through the app or through us. Restoring a previous purchase on a new device uses Apple's own account system; Mosaic simply asks StoreKit whether you own the unlock.

Apple's own services

To be precise about the one place a network is involved: Mosaic itself has no servers and sends nothing anywhere, but two of Apple's built-in systems talk to Apple on your behalf, exactly as they do in any other app. StoreKit contacts Apple to complete or restore a purchase, and if a photo you pick is stored in iCloud Photos, iOS downloads it to your device so it can be used. Both are handled by iOS under Apple's privacy policy, not by us — we receive nothing from either.

No tracking, no ads, no third parties

Children's privacy

Mosaic does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since the app has no accounts and no servers, there is no mechanism by which any user's data — of any age — could be collected, stored remotely, or shared.

Your data, your rights

Because Mosaic does not collect or transmit any personal data, there is nothing on any server to request, correct, delete, or export — there simply isn't a copy anywhere but your own device. If you have questions about this or want to confirm anything about how the app works, email us and we'll answer directly.
