Mosaic: Photo Collage & Layout

Mosaic is an iPhone app for making photo collages. Pick a few photos, drag to arrange them, and save. Nothing is ever uploaded — see the privacy policy for details.

What Mosaic does

Mosaic turns 2 to 4 photos into a single collage. You choose photos from your library, arrange them in a split layout by dragging, fine-tune the canvas shape and border, then save a full-resolution image back to your photo library.

How to use it

  1. Pick your photos. Tap the picker and choose 2, 3, or 4 photos from your library.
  2. Arrange the layout. Drag the seams between photos to resize each cell, and drag the corner brackets to change the overall split. Mosaic auto-frames each photo on-device to keep faces and subjects centered as you adjust.
  3. Adjust ratio and border. Choose the canvas aspect ratio and set the border thickness to taste.
  4. Save. Tap Save to write the finished collage to your photo library at full resolution.

Frequently asked questions

Where do my saved collages go?

Saved collages go straight to your iPhone's photo library, the same place all your other photos live. Mosaic files each collage under the date of the earliest photo used in it, so it sits chronologically with your other photos from that time rather than appearing at "today."

How do I remove the watermark?

Mosaic has a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase called Remove Watermark. Buy it once from within the app and every collage you save afterward is watermark-free, with no subscription and no recurring charge.

How do I restore that purchase on a new device?

Use the Restore Purchases option in the app (found wherever the Remove Watermark unlock is offered). It checks your Apple ID's purchase history through Apple's own systems and re-enables the unlock at no extra cost — no account or login with us required.

Why does Mosaic ask for photo access?

Only to do the job of the app: showing you the picker so you can choose photos, and loading the photos you pick so they can be arranged into a collage. Mosaic writes the finished collage back to your library when you save. It doesn't scan, index, or access anything beyond what you choose.

Does anything get uploaded anywhere?

No. Mosaic makes no network calls of any kind. Every part of the app, including the automatic face/subject framing, runs entirely on your iPhone. Your photos never leave your device.

What does Mosaic require?

iOS 18 or later, on iPhone. Mosaic is not currently designed for iPad or Mac.
